This looks a good opportunity for DINNER DATE who is taken to get the better of Baltimore Jack and Timber Treasure. This trip takes some getting at Pontefract and our selection, unlike some of the other fancied runners, will have no problem seeing this out. He confirmed his well-being with a good effort at Yarmouth last time over today's distance and with conditions to suit he looks poised to run a big race. Baltimore Jack won well at Redcar over 1m1f before going close at the same venue over 1m2f last time out. He seemed to run out of steam inside the final furlong that day so there could be a question mark over his ability to get home over this stiff 1m2f and on that basis we will take him on. Timber Treasure is another upped in trip today and once again there is a huge question mark over his ability to last home over this distance. Active Asset was well beaten in a similar event to this at Leicester earlier in the month and he is hard to recommend off the back of that, We will stick with Dinner Date as our choice.
