In depth

Verdict

Not the most competitive handicap and Futuristic, a winner at Southwell last time, can take advantage, with Christina Sanchez and Bar Of Silver also worth consideration. The selection gets in here unpenalised for that success over the same trip on the fibresand and there seems no reason why he should not reproduce that effort here. If he does then he should take all the beating from a good draw. Christina Sanchez steps back up in trip a furlong after an encouraging effort over 6f at Southwell last time. The first-time blinkers seemed to have a positive effect there and if they offer the same assistance this time then she can make the frame off a feather weight. Bar Of Silver was best of the rest behind Tuscan Treaty over this trip at Folkestone last time out, but was comfortably beaten there and needs to improve on his all weather form to win, but could again make the minors. Scarlet Secret won here last week but is up in the weights as a result and this may be beyond his stamina capabilities, so the vote goes to the penalty-free Futuristic.
