GHENT caught a tartar at Kempton last time but can make amends for his supporters here, while Broughtons Paradis and Madamlily should both feature. David Myerscough gave the Celtic Swing gelding his first run in England at Sunbury and sent off as favourite, he was unable to go with the winner until it was too late. That was a competitive enough race in context and he has not been put up for it, which is a plus for potential backers. This extra furlong should also suit him well and he can come good. Yarmouth winner Broughtons Paradis has a very solid profile and she won a weak 11f handicap at that track, for which the handicapper has put her up 8lbs. On her first try at this track she looks worth opposing at these weights. Madamlily tries an artificial surface for the first time and will be suited by the trip. She is a bit inconsistent but that is not to say she can't make her presence felt. Tiger Flash has a chance from this mark if able to handle the surface, though Musselburgh scorer Gaselee will probably want a drop in the weights before winning again. Ghent can land the last.
