MONSIEUR JOE was the easy winner of a Folkestone maiden last time and looks capable of following up on his handicap debut from a mark of 78, while Radio City and Wanchai Whisper are dangers. The selection has shown that he can produce a consistent level of form, so it is likely that in this, his fourth start, he can give his true running once again. He was worth more than the official margin suggested at Folkestone and will probably act on this surface, so we will side with him. Radio City is more battle-hardened in terms of handicapping, having won in this sphere over both this trip and 6f, and he wasn't stopping when scoring over the latter trip at Epsom, so despite a 6lb penalty he looks a major player again. Wanchai Whisper won a course and distance seller last month but was thrashed from this mark over 6f at Bath last time. It is unlikely the trip beat her there, but the rattling fast ground may not have helped, or perhaps it was the quirky track. Whatever it was she has something to prove now. Lucky Mellor has gone up 2lbs for finishing runner-up last time and although he has a solid profile he may find a couple too good, while High Spice and Leleyf can both get competitive. Monsieur Joe can score.
