A tough handicap for punters to solve here and the tentative choice is RAVI RIVER, while I Confess and Richelieu are among those with claims. The last-named scored over this trip at Laytown last time and races today from a 4lbs higher mark. James Lambe's seven-year-old also has winning course form over 6f and he should get heavily involved. I Confess has run a couple of decent races here in defeat, including when making the frame over 9f last time, but he saves his best for Lingfield and is taken on. Mabait is yet to prove he gets this far, but Glenridding gets every yard of it and will be better suited by this surface than when stuck in the mud over a mile at Thirsk last time, so he is not dismissed. Dig Deep is on a decent mark on his form of two years ago and is better on this surface than on turf, so John Quinn's runner has a squeak, though we prefer Ravi River. Jim Boyle's Barathea gelding won over course and distance off 75 in February and is 3lbs higher here. He does have a wide draw to contend with but Pat Cosgrave can drop him in and hopefully find the gaps to see him return to winning ways.
