After improving on his handicap debut to score we think that DESERT RECLUSE can follow up in a weak looking race with Glen Lass and Blues Forever the most likely to follow him home. Having earned a low looking mark racing over trips of less than a mile the selection looked a different animal when upped to a mile and a quarter l on that handicap debut. The further he went the better he looked so now upped in trip again he should be able to score off a revised mark. Glen Lass is a consistent type who has only lost once here in three starts. That said her best work has been in plating company but after a few solid performances she looks worth trying at this trip and should go well off this rating. Blues Forever has shaped well enough in four maiden starts and should do ok on his handicap debut while The Great Husk is reliable but his refusal to win a race is getting concerning. There are a few in with chances but after a decent handicap debut Desert Recluse rates as a solid selection.
