In depth

Verdict

It's a little risky after his last run but we're with PRIVATE EQUITY in this wide open handicap marginally ahead of Weybridge Light and Bramalea. A lightly raced filly the pick was a comfortable winner of her first two handicap starts before finding a shorter trip a little too sharp. She raced a little too keenly to really do herself justice when back over course and distance last time and we suspect she's capable of better so give her the chance here. Weybridge Light has shown a progressive run of form in his last three runs as his mark has dropped. He missed out by just over a length off this mark last time and should give his running again. Bramalea has a good strike rate at this track and showed a spark of form when dropped to this rating on his last run so can be considered a live contender while Wee Ziggy might be each-way value after an improved effort last time out. A tricky puzzle to solve but the missing piece seems to be shaped like Private Equity.
