The drop in trip is a concern for Army Of Stars so we'll side with GWILYM ahead of Whiskey Junction and Bold Tie. Jim Crowley was aboard our selection when the pair combined for a course and distance win in June and providing she's ready to go again after a 49-day break we'd fancy her to overcome a 3lb rise in the weights. Encouragement can be taken from the fact she won first time out in 2007 and these conditions bring out the best in her. Whiskey Junction is reunited with Seb Sanders, aboard for his last two victories, and the horse showed promise last time when second. A solitary one pound rise in the weights shouldn't hinder him too much and this is a horse with pace. Bold Tie represents a top team and this is much easier than the race he took sixth in recently. Prior to that the gelding was beaten under two lengths into third at Salisbury and his maiden win came over course and distance. Army Of Stars gets on well with Sophie Doyle and won last time but he's essentially one-paced and a drop to six furlongs therefore concerns us, Boogie Diva can be expected to need this first run in 300 days while both Silver Wind and Timeteam reserve their best form for plating class races. In an open finale, it's Gwilym for us.
