A good end to the card in which a chance is taken on MR RAINBOW bouncing back to form, in the process accounting for Ocean Legend and Seasider. Alan Swinbank has his runners in good form which makes our selection's abhorrent display last time hard to understand. That was over a mile at Redcar on soft ground after he'd took a very good second on his handicap debut over seven, but so poor was the run that the trip cannot be blamed. Even so, returning to seven furlongs, the distance of his best two efforts, is certainly a positive and it can pay to forgive this unexposed sort one bad run. Ocean Legend has been in great form of late for Tony Carroll and should again go well. He ran a good race over course and distance two starts ago before finding a well handicapped rival too strong last time; this is arguably easier and he's only narrowly opposed owing to the 3lb rise afforded him. Seasider has taken the step up from plating class races to handicap company in his stride and seems to go well for Laura Pike. He ran well when a close second to a well-treated type at Leicester on Saturday and takes his racing well. Buxton struggled from this mark, 7lbs higher than the one he won from prior to that, when fifth last time. That run suggested the handicapper may have him for now and he's taken on along with Fol Liam who is fairly treated on his last win at Wolverhampton, but any softening of the ground would be against him. Headache is up 5lbs following a decisive win last time but he's yet to win on turf so a bigger threat may be Lochan Mor, who can be forgiven a poor Fibresand debut last time. This is a good way to end the card and a chance is taken on Mr Rainbow.
