Wide open doesn't even begin to describe this but we'll side with BRAMALEA ahead of Horsley Warrior and Carter. Our selection finished a respectable second to a well handicapped rival last time but looks to have nothing to fear from these. That she's not yet won on the turf in 15 starts yet has three all-weather successes to her name will be a concern to some but not us; last time the mare ran on turf she took third in a better race than this and she's also shown a liking for cut in the past, whereas that second last time came on good-to-firm so George Baker's mount is certainly versatile. With that strong jockey booking and a host of exposed sorts in opposition she's given the vote. Horsley Warrior has shown a preference for cut throughout his brief turf career without having broken his duck. On his debut at Nottingham over a mile he took third behind a horse now rated 97 and a last time out third advertises his well-being, so with the capable David Kenny helping to ease the burden he can go close to defying top weight. Carter's sole success came over today's trip so Mark Brisbourne's charge is also considered although he wouldn't appear to want the heavens to open. That win came off 59 so he looks well treated off a pound lower if back to anything like his best. Transfer started life in handicaps off a 20lb higher mark so is clearly beginning to look well handicapped. He took seventh on his seasonal return but if that's blown away the cobwebs a better display can be expected with this first try at 1m2f likely to help him to improve. Shipboard Romance is interesting on her return to the flat as she has found some improvement over timber of late, enough to suggest she can run well off this lowly flat rating. Desert Fairy needs a market check in the first-time visor and Amazing King may find this trip more suitable but our inclination is to side with Bramalea in what is a poor race.
