Verdict

Unless support arrives for Princess Dayna this should lie between Good Morning Dubai and ELECTRIC WAVES, with ready preference for the latter. Ed McMahon's filly finished fourth on her debut and the form of that Windsor contest couldn't have worked out better as the front three have all won since, as have a couple who finished further back. It was no surprise therefore that Electric Waves was backed as if defeat were out of the question in a weaker race at Carlisle and for much of the contest it looked as though she'd oblige, only for her effort to flatten out late on. However, that came on ground that may have been too fast for her and a return to slightly softer conditions should see her oblige by beating Good Morning Dubai. Brian Meehan's daughter of Dubawi showed some promise of her own on debut before finishing in behind some promising sorts last time when perhaps finding Sandown's stiff finish against her. That said, whether she improved or not from her debut remains to be seen and on balance the form she's displayed is of a lesser standard than that of our selection. Princess Dayna is bred to make a two-year-old but the yard haven't quite been firing this year so she's opposed at this stage although market support would make her interesting whilst the drop in trip isn't certain to suit Miss Dutee who is so far failing to match the achievements of many of her stablemates. Dallas Legend is a cheaply bought filly who is bred to need further than this so of more interest is Country Waltz who could feature if leaving her debut behind but our idea of the winner is Electric Waves and we're confident too.
