Tamarind Hill continues to run well but we prefer the claims of AUTOCRACY ahead of Aqua Vitae and Amoureuse. Our selection has started favourite for three of his six starts without having won a contest but today may well be the day, after he took fourth in a race that is working out last time. That was over five furlongs and this step back up to six, the trip that provided his best effort to date at Wolverhampton, could bring about some improvement. The handicapper has dropped him a couple of pounds and we anticipate a big run. Aqua Vitae may pose the biggest threat having shown a bit more herself last time. Like our pick, she's a maiden after six starts, but this half-sister to a Listed sprint winner should have more to offer from this rating with the yard continuing in fair form; this is the easiest task she's been set since switching to handicaps. Amoureuse ran well when racing from out of the weights last time and gets to run off her correct mark here. She seemed to improve plenty for stepping up to six furlongs and should win a small race, although in those mentioned previously she faces a couple who could be too good. Tamarind Hill holds Amoureuse on their May Nottingham meeting but that was over five furlongs and Alan McCabe's charge looks thoroughly exposed now; he should continue to give a good account without winning. Gemma's Delight showed her 50/1 course and distance third to be no fluke with a similar display last time but needs to find more to win now raised a pound in the ratings so of more interest of the remainder is Flaxen Lake, whose all-weather form reads well. Six furlongs may prove to be his trip and at a price he can go well. Red Scintilla isn't likely to have the pace for this test and with the rest making little appeal our vote goes to Autocracy.
