The latest in a succession of conundrums from punters, though the high draw and progressive profile of locally-trained ESUVIA appears to fit the bill, while Ignatieff, Confessional and Tasmeem are others on the short-list. The selection does have it to prove on genuine good ground after winning on the Fibresand in a maiden and then following up in comfortable fashion from a mark of 70 in a good to soft Musselburgh handicap. She does not look to have stopped winning just yet. Ignatieff has a similar sort of profile, winning a maiden and then a handicap, but a 6lb rise put paid to him last time. A drop of 4lbs, therefore, looks a plus today and he could go very close. Confessional won eased down at Catterick last backend, when the going was soft, and he is only 1lb higher than that today so must be given plenty of respect. Tasmeem hails from a yard in tremendous form and is another who will appreciate a 4lb drop since his last run. However, the drop in trip is not certain to suit, and so we will just take him on today with Esuvia.
