Another tough one for punters and the suggestion is BERE DAVIS to get the better of Very Well Red, and Amethyst Dawn. The last-named was a winner last time out, at Nottingham in November, when the ground was soft. She does act on good going, and stays well over a mile, so the likely strong pace here won't be an issue, and she can go very well. Ella Woodcock and King Of The Moors should both be very competitive from their current handicap marks, though Very Well Red might go better. Peter Hiatt's gelding has gone up 7lbs for winning at Nottingham earlier in April, but the decisive nature of that success and a good draw here suggests he will go close to winning again. Morocchuis looks capable of getting involved from his current pitch, but preference is for Bere Davis. The Maurice Barnes-trained runner is 7lbs below his last winning mark, and he has been a bit out of sorts lately. He is likely to be a decent price as a result of that, he goes well at the track and acts on the ground, so we will chance him.
