MEY BLOSSOM is suggested in a competitive sprint ahead of Sands Crooner, Cavitie and Cayman Fox amongst others. A high draw is usually advantageous in this contest and none are drawn higher than Mey Blossom who has been in good form this season. A winner from a 3lb lower mark in mid-May, she went close last time and this course and distance winner should go close again. Sands Crooner is drawn a little further off the rail but he's quite well weighted these days and looks capable of making his presence felt whilst Cayman Fox may have benefited from her recent return to action and improve sufficiently to take a hand in the finish although she has only managed the one win in her career to date. Cavitie has done most of his racing on the all-weather but he's effective on turf and relatively progressive in this grade; Andrew Reid's horses are in fair enough form and he looks interesting with Jim Crowley booked but preference is for Mey Blossom.
