Yarqus is selected here ahead of Players Please and Kew Green. Yarqus seemed to appreciate the step up in trip when finishing fourth in a fairly valuable York handicap last time and, racing from the same mark today, can go well again. Players Please was two lengths behind him there and can go well too even though they meet on the same terms today. Kew Green is classy on his day and, whilst those seem to be few and far between these days, his mark of 94 could well be a good one now. Impeller, who has been cannily placed in his career, could also be well weighted if fully in the mood. The best of Bandama's efforts of the last 12 months would give him a chance, while Wind Star has run well in competitive events from around today's mark to be given some sort of thought. For the selection, though, we will stick with Yarqus.
