In depth

Verdict

Press The Button, Mazaya and Tri Nations make the shortlist here with Press The Button the selection. Tri Nations won on debut at Newmarket in April but he disappointed on a return visit to the track next month, finishing last. He is eased in grade here but he is probably best watched until he returns to form. Press The Button was dropped significantly before scoring at Folkestone last time-his last win also came at the Kent track. He enjoys this trip and fast ground and a six pound penalty may not be enough to stop him. A Redcar winner as a juvenile, Mazaya won on his Great Leighs re-appearance before finding a mile and a half too far next time. He has yet to run on a fast surface and although he is dropped two pounds he is taken on. Press The Button may be capable of defying a penalty with conditions in his favour.
