        Verdict

        DUTCH DESCENT started to fulfil his potential with a comfortable success over the Ayr mile on good ground last month and should face identical conditions in this follow-up bid. He's 5lb higher now but hails from a shrewd yard that is likely to have left something to work on after just the seven career starts. The main danger is probably Janaab, who is far more exposed but has become a solid handicapper over this trip. A little respite from the assessor would help but he'll run his race whereas Marmarus has yet to find form for his new yard. Charles De Mille and Icy Blue are each-way shouts from near the foot of the weights on the back of creditable efforts.
