Verdict

The form of Mark Johnston's juvenile team has been a feature of the season so far so Daleelak has to be worth a market check on debut along with the Kevin Ryan newcomer Royal Display, a son of Showcasing. Fishergate has shown solid ability on both starts and should be winning soon and is especially interesting now encountering good ground for the first time. He looks sure to be in the firing line but ROARING FORTIES is preferred. Like many Charlie Appleby two-year-olds, he improved dramatically on a very poor debut effort next time up when fourth behind Eltezam in a decent Haydock maiden. That form received a major boost when Eltezam finished third in the Coventry Stakes and he can step up again here for Godolphin.
