Although he didn't quite live up to the promise of his debut effort at Pontefract last time, back on this easier track KIELDER can break his duck at the main expense of Times Ahead and Sammuramat. Trip and ground will again suit the David Barron-trained pick and if he can repeat either of those runs or improve then it should probably prove to be good enough. Times Ahead improved from first run to second and if able to continue that progress, which is entirely possible given that the Pontefract run was the first this year, then we should see him go close. Sammuramat is gradually being given a squeak by the handicapper and has been entered up in more than this race of late. This is his second start of the campaign and he should come on for his return run. If there is market support then given his connections we should take it seriously. North Central is in decent form and has conditions and trip to suit, so he looks another who should be involved at the business end but we will stick with Kielder.
