Not an easy race to assess with so many newcomers and the vote goes to TINKERTOWN to land the prize, with Local Singer and Land Bank interesting opponents. The selection returns to the scene of a narrow defeat here last time out, when just failing to get up and beat Bay Of Fires over 6f. The step up to 7f will give Paul Cole's charge that extra little bit of time he needs to get home in front today, and the yard has a formidable record when raiding this far north to add to our confidence. Local Singer looks a leading player again after finishing just behind our pick in that same race here earlier in the month and given that he can also find improvement for this longer trip he is surely not going to be far away. Land Bank is related to Wing Commander, a two-year-old winner over this distance, and he may prove better than stablemates Bollin Harry and Anddante, though the last-named has some invaluable experience to call upon. Of the other newcomers, Mutajare and Next Edition are likely to do better with age and preference is for Tinkertown.
