Sir Michael Stoute is obviously a trainer to stick with when his horses start to show improvement and Lysandra can become the latest raider to fly the flag for Freemason Lodge. Forest Of Love and Abide are worthy alternatives, while any significant support for In The Lead should not be ignored. The last named hails from a yard that have been back amongst the winners of late and have to be respected when they send one up to a course that has traditionally served them well over the years. Abide shaped with promise on a couple of occasions last term and sets a fair standard today. However, she looks a little harshly treated at the moment and will struggle in handicaps from her current rating. The handicapper will have little choice but to relent a little with her if she runs to the level of her last start as a juvenile. Forest Of Love ran well under tender handling at Newbury a fortnight ago and is expected to be a lot wiser this time around. The step up in trip will help her and she can make this a good test. However, Lysandra just edges the vote this time around, as she was crying out for an extra furlong when she was last seen in action. Ladeena (runs in the 4:40) will give a good indication towards the worth of last season's effort at Newmarket, which on face value, looks the most reliable yardstick to go on at this stage.
