The Barry Hills-trained Kenmore ran a couple of very promising races last year and is fancied to get off the mark today. Patternmaker and Monkstown Road make the most out of the remainder with experience, while Bold Desire is worth monitoring in the betting for signs of interest. The Michael Bell-trained filly is a half-sister to Irresistible, who did so well for the yard a couple of seasons ago. She has not been presented with an insurmountable task for her debut and it will be interesting to see how she fares from here. Monkstown Road ran well on his debut but was a little below par last time. The ground may have been the reason at Thirsk and it is a little early to be writing him off. He holds fair place claims. Patternmaker caught the eye in defeat at that same Thirsk meeting and will be a lot wiser to the task this time around. Alan Munro is again in the plate and the partnership look to be the biggest danger to the selection. However, Kenmore's last start at Newmarket could well prove to be a very useful piece of form, as several winners have already emerged from the race. An added factor is the flying form of the Hill's team at the moment, which bodes well for Kenmore as he bids to kick-start his three-year-old campaign in the best possible way.
