        Verdict

This looks a great opportunity for Rumbalara to get off the mark. Flying Adored, Simonda and Safirah are shortlisted as dangers, while Road Rage also merits respect and is worth an each-way saver. Safirah shaped up nicely for Mark Brisbourne last season and can be placed to good effect by the Shropshire-based handler in due course. This will give him a good gauge to assess how well she has trained on and small handicap looks a formality for her considering the level of competition her yard are noted for targeting. Flying Adored probably needed the run on her reappearance and should strip fitter this afternoon. However, she does look a little harshly treated at present and, even though the handicapper is starting to relent, she looks to need to drop a few more pounds in the handicap before she can be a confident choice again. Similar comments apply to Simonda, who makes her handicap debut off 82 here. Admittedly she is open to any amount of improvement, but her maiden win at Bath was nothing special so the weight may count against here for the moment. Therefore, we go to the well-treated three-year-olds this time around. Road Rage tries a more appropriate trip and has to be feared on the best of her form. However, she was well beaten in the May Hill when she was last seen out and needs to prove that she still retains enthusiasm. Therefore, we switch to Rumbalara, who has a live chance on these terms. A 17lb weight-for-age allowance leaves her with very little to find with the best of her rivals and, with the step up in trip expected to suit, Rumbalara can pick where she left off last season by leading them all home today.
