In depth

Verdict

A few of these are set to go up in the weights at the weekend, none more so than the selection, Auwitesweetheart, who is due to race off a 10lb higher mark for future engagements. Karminskey Park, Grandma Lilly and Joyeaux are others that come into the race on the back of improved performances and are worthy contenders to make the frame today. Karminsky Park has been holding her own on the All Weather of late but has been given a chance by the handicapper off her current mark. She has won off a 4lb higher mark in the past and will have very few excuses for not going close in this company. Joyeaux finished well after missing the kick here a fortnight ago. She delivered on that promise when scooting up under Darryll Holland at Haydock on Saturday and has to be a threat whilst she is in such good heart. As does Grandma Lilly, who is speedy on her day and shaped as of she is running into form at Ripon last week. She does need to confirm that was not just a one-off performance, though and could be risky for win only purposes. Therefore, we go with Auwitesweetheart, who has made a terrific start to her campaign and has every chance of putting some of her elder rivals to the sword if she continues in the same vein.
