ROCK N ROLL RANSOM is bred to be special and is fancied to make a winning debut here at the main expense of Rasselas and Defence Of Realm. This doesn't look the strongest of maidens and the selection is one of the best bred in the race. He represents a yard whose three-year-old's are in fantastic form and this son of Red Ransom is out of a top class mare from the family of Kayf Tara and Necklace. Belle Boleyn is not from such an illustrious family but she is not discounted on debut, Mashatu was a cheap purchase considering he is out of a Cheveley Park winner, whilst Defence Of Realm shaped with promise behind Bin Shamardal at Beverley but the form is not stacking up too well. Dhaafer remains capable of better as he takes in an easier maiden than at Newmarket the last twice (and Richard Hills rides for the first time), whilst Rasselas is more exposed but he didn't look a superstar on his reappearance which is frustrating given he got to within five lengths of Elusive Pimpernel at Newmarket last July. Jubilant Lady is not discounted especially with market support, however a chance is taken on Rock N Roll Ransom.
