With just five runs between four of the scheduled starters we'll be paying close attention to the market, but in the absence of that guide at the moment, we'll side with SYLVESTRIS ahead of Ajla and Focal. Sylvestris stayed on well without troubling the winner when second on debut over six furlongs, and the step up in trip looks the right way forward for this American bred filly who cost £75,000. How good she's expected to be isn't clear yet, with no fancy entries at this stage. The yard and jockey are in good form, and support in the ring would be very encouraging. Ajla's related to a number of winners and any Richard Hannon debutante demands respect, especially given her future entries. Hopes are clearly high she'll reward connections. Focal is a daughter of Pivotal and holds a group entry for later in the year, but Sir Michael Stoute's not had a vintage season so far with his two year olds. A number of big yards capable of sending out first time winners are represented here, so market moves need to be watched, but we'll support Sylvestris.
