Noel Meade has won two of the seven runnings of this and relies on the hurdling newcomer Lean Times, who has made very good progress in bumpers. Baracas was just touched off by Stanton Court in a Punchestown maiden in May but has run moderately on the flat subsequently. Winning bumper Dumitas has shown ability over timber and can go well but this looks like another for Dermot Weld via GENTLEMAN JEFF. The six-year-old has been runner-up twice in three starts over hurdles and like so many of his stable's Galway runners had a long break before returning with a promising effort on the level. He'll be at concert pitch for this and will take all the beating.
