Bold Act can come out on top in an open looking handicap, with Winners Delight, Inchloch, Dragon Slayer and Wellington Hall all in with a shout. Bold Act is going the right way judged on three promising efforts over a mile this season, and this step up to 10 furlongs could see him open his account. The ground will be in his favour, and he will stay on well in the closing stages based on his latest second to Aggravation at Windsor. Winners Delight just managed to hang on from Folo at Windsor last time but is now slightly higher in the handicap, while Inchloch has topweight to contend with. Dragon Slayer won a class 4 at Yarmouth in March and gave a really good account when beaten by Trouble Mountain at Haydock on his first run since. He looks set to make his presence felt along with Wellington Hall who was just touched off up the Sandown hill last time. All in all this is very competitive, with just a narrow vote going to Bold Act.
