In depth

Verdict

In the opener, the vote goes to Fuji ahead of Global Guest and Glorious Prince. Michael Bell's Fuji is of obvious interest here on his debut, having cost 82,000 guineas as a two-year-old. The market should tell us more. Global Guest has shown promise on each start and is entitled to respect. Glorious Prince has something to like on breeding, while Hocinail is another to look at in the betting. Lancaster's Quest is another to have shown promise in probably better events, but Three Jumps run last time came in a modest affair. Overall, then, once again the vote goes to Fuji.
