In this two-year-old contest, Barney McGrew gets the call over Baleegh and Amazing Charlie. Marcus Tregoning's Baleegh has to be of interest in a race that lacks strength. As does James Toller's 25,000 guineas acquisition Barney McGrew. Amazing Charlie' Salisbury debut showed promise so he is respected, while Chalentina's Newbury handicap fifth from a mark of 70 forms the benchmark to the form. Lady's Law is another to consider, as is Clive Cox's Meadow Floss who is likely to prove better than her debut finishing position. As ever, the betting could prove useful here but, without it, we will side with Barney McGrew.
