Wages can overcome an absence to land a weak affair at the expense of Munaawesh, Two Steps To Glory and Dishdasha to name but three. The betting market will no doubt be a big indicator here, but with Tony McCoy booked to ride, it would be no surprise if Wages came out on top despite not having been seen out for 168 days. The six-year-old's last visit to the racecourse resulted in defeat when he was only fifth over fences at Huntingdon. However, the Evan Williams inmate was successful over the bigger obstacles the time before at Towcester, and although he has never won over timber before, this is a drop in class for the son of Lake Coniston. Munaawesh is still a maiden under both codes after 42 starts, but does put in the odd good round at this level, while Two Steps To Glory is much higher in the weights than when landing a similar contest at Sedgefield 11 months ago, but will like the ground, and Dishdasha comes from a stable doing well at present. All can make their presence felt, but if Wages is anywhere near fit he will take all the beating.
