Verdict

The bumper really is a guessing game, but Ulf The Unwashed is a tentative selection over Ivory Fair, Wenrus Lady and Lake Gunner. Those that have been seen out are nothing special, so it would be no surprise if one of the newcomers were to oblige, and with Tony McCoy booked to ride Ulf The Unwashed, he may be the one. The son of Kayf Tara is related to an Irish hurdles and chase winner and the dam hails from the same family as Height Of Fashion no less, so there is a lot to like about his breeding. Ivory Fair meanwhile is by Daylami out of a Sadler's Well's mare, and his dam is related to the dam of Distinction. If there is any money for Kevin Morgan's charge, then he could be a serious player. Lake Gunner cannot match the aforementioned pair on breeding but is related to a winning hurdler, while of those to have raced so far, Wenrus Lady has shown a bit of ability. Bets are best kept to the bare minimum, but our vote goes to Ulf The Unwashed.
