In depth

Verdict

Gimasha gets the confident vote to win this conditions event with Jewel In The Sand and Empress Jain rating the main dangers. The selection was a fair sixth behind Montgomerys Arch in a better race last time out. This represents a drop in class and under conditions that suit he will be hard to beat. Jewel In The Sand rates the main danger on her best form but she showed very little on her first run of the season so can not be put forward with any confidence. Empress Jain will appreciate the return to this longer trip having been outpaced over the minimum trip at Epsom last time. Stepping Stones won well last time when beating Madame Medusa but this looks tougher and she will need to improve again to score. Of the remainder, Gloved Hand is from a yard in form and could go well at a price but her overall profile leaves her with a little to find and with this in mind for the winner we return to Gimasha.
