Verdict

Duchess Royale is a progressive type and she is fancied to continue to blossom in this company; in-form rivals Cactus Rose and Milla's Rocket make plenty of appeal and are also respected, while Ragheed is worth noting in the betting. Ragheed has shown plenty of promise in three starts to date - winning a Thirsk maiden before finishing a respectable sixth in a tough handicap at Sandown last month. He is at the right end of the weights and is one to keep on the right side. Milla's Rocket has also maintained a steady momentum since being fitted with blinkers and comes here with solid place claims. However, she is now on a stiff mark and needs everything to go her way. Cactus Rose has been a bean of light in an ordinary season by Roger Charlton's standards and this son of Zamindar should be noted in the betting. His form looks solid to date and, assuming he handles the ground, he can be a live danger. However, Duchess Royale just makes a touch more appeal at this stage of their development, as she has proven form with cut in the ground. The daughter of Danehill was good value for her winning margin at Windsor 19 days ago and she can be expected to be tough to master as she bids to follow up today.
