Nonrunner
Font made a bright start this season and the four-year-old is preferred to Kerriemuir Lass and Councel's Opinion, while Five A Side should not be underestimated despite lacking the experience of his elder rivals. The last named does need to banish the memory of a poor run last time and his supporters will need to have a fair bit of faith. However, this is not the strongest of contests and, as Mark Johnston's sole runner on the card, he has to be respected. Councel's Opinion has been around the block and has attained all the certificates. He has taken on much stiffer opponents in the past, so has to rate as a good each-way option on the pick of his form. Kerriemuir Lass also fits that profile, as she has been a highly consistent type - acting on any type of ground. The Peter Saville-owned filly is as tough as they come and she may well provide the selection with the most to do. However, Font has a touch more scope for improvement and, considering he is a possible for contests like Shegar Cup and the Ebor next month; he would be expected to take this in his stride if he is to be a contender at a higher grade.
