Verdict
An interesting maiden for punters watching with a view to later in the afternoon and Hildegarde is chanced at the expense of Lady Rochbonne, Graceful Descent and Low Flyer. Hildegarde has been given two patient introductions over five furlongs and appears to have needed much further on all evidence. The trainer attempts to remedy the situation today. Lady Rochbonne was paid a huge complement by Without A Hope's wide margin victory at Lingfield and must be watched in the market as a consequence. Graceful Descent has plenty to like about his pedigree and should be more than capable of handling trip and going on that evidence. Low Flyer wasn't stopping at the end of a debut outing over six and is worth more than a cursory glance. Tuanku was unfortunate to run up against the useful Spitfire on debut although it is worrying that he has been off the track for so long. Prince Kalamoun is a cheaply purchased son of Desert Prince but cannot be discounted given Alan Swinbank's stable form. Similar comments applying to the Bryan Smart newcomer, Roger's Revenge. Caribbean Cruiser ran much better than his 100/1 pricetag at Ayr suggested and could have place claims if progressing again. The market should offer most information and we like the look of Hildegarde.
