Another tricky handicap brings the day's racing to a close. We'll nominate After The Show as our idea of the winner with Pretty Miss and Lord Of The Reins two of the likelier dangers. The selection went a long time without winning but returned to form with a vengeance, completing a hat-trick in March and April. His winning run came to an end last time but there's a feeling that that may have been down more to the track and the way that the race was run than the handicapper or him losing his form. This track suits him well and he can come home with his head in front. Lord Of The Reins only just missed out on a second turf success at Goodwood last time but that was a decent run and a similar effort this afternoon should see him have a say in the outcome although he does have it to prove on quick ground. Pretty Miss should be all the better for her reappearance at Folkestone where she ran far better than the bare result suggests. Rather like After The Show, this track should see her in a better light as should the quicker ground and she appears to hold leading claims. The selection, though, is After The Show.
