An interesting event with some well-bred newcomers such as Straighten Up, Citrine Spirit and First Of May in opposition while Scarlett Rose looks best of those with previous experience. The last named showed an abundance of promise when a staying-on third in a fair maiden here last month and looks sure to be even better suited by the extra furlong so merits plenty of respect. Sir Michael Stoute saddles Straighten Up and the daughter of Nashwan should be closely monitored in the market while John Gosden's Citrine Spirit, a Soviet Star half-sister to numerous winners is another who could easily score at the first time of asking. Michael Jarvis has his team of juveniles in excellent order so First Of May, a well-bred daughter of Halling, is yet another of interest in a race that should produce plenty of future winners.
