A little bit of a guessing game will be played here with regard to the ability over fences of a few of these, but Celioso has taken well to the game and is selected over Lodestar, who, as the most experienced chaser in the field will not go down without a fight. It would also be dangerous to dismiss Mac Hine completely as he at least is built to make an impact in this sphere and races should be found for him in the near future. However, Celioso comes here with a solid profile from his three previous outings over fences and looks to be one to keep on the right side of for the time being. He gets in here off pretty much a featherweight and, Dominic Elsworth, who guided the six-year-old to a surprise victory over the 117-rated Three Eagles at Sedgefield in September, can ensure Celioso does not give his rivals any peace in the lead and prove that performance was not just a one-off display.
