Pendragon, The Galloping Shoe and George Adamson make the shortlist here, with PENDRAGON taken to make up for recent near misses while he is well handicapped. The Galloping Shoe has only one win in his career to date, but he took advantage of a sliding handicap mark to run a close third in a Haydock handicap last time. The handicapper has reacted immediately, harshly raising him 4lbs and that may prevent him landing his first win in two years. George Adamson has been in very good heart this season, landing two wins here. His winning sequence was halted last time when he finished runner-up, but the winner has scored again this week here, and the form looks solid. Pendragon is yet to score on Turf, though he has three wins to his credit on the all-weather. He overcame an absence of two months to go down narrowly to an in form type last time, and takes his chance here off the same mark, just three days later. Pendragon has a fine chance here to open his account on grass.
