Verdict
Camerooney, Game Lad and Hajoum make the short list, with CAMEROONEY taken to follow up this week's big handicap win. The former Godolphin owned Hajoum has shown progressive form this season, winning his Catterick maiden before finishing a close fourth in a Royal Ascot handicap on his latest start. The run of Himalya earlier in the afternoon in the opener will be a pointer, as he was second in that same handicap.Game Lad has two wins to his credit this season, including one over the course and distance, and he ran a solid race to be third last time in a good handicap, with a line through the runner-up there, Major Phil, suggesting he has a good chance of beating the selection. Camerooney however is on an upward curve. He has had an amazing campaign, winning twice on the all-weather, before landing three successes on the Turf. His latest win in the Carlisle Bell was achieved with some authority, and drawn against the stands' rail here, he can once again dictate matters effectively. A 6lb penalty may not be enough to prevent Camerooney landing his sixth win of the year.
