In depth

Verdict

Five of these are separated by just 3lb on official figures. Bustam was returning from a long break and raced too keenly over the minimum here in March and the run will have done him the power of good. Harrogate, who had some decent form on Turf last summer, will also have found 5f too sharp on his reappearance here while Saisons D'or ran well over the track and trip in September and may have found the ground too soft on his final start. WALK ON WALTER (NAP) made most and battled back when headed at Southwell but just couldn't contain Big Brave Bob. The remainder were a long way behind and David Simcock's charge can go one better. Weellan has had nine starts without winning and has changed stables but he was narrowly beaten five times and David O'Meara should find a race for him in the not too distant future.
