Mon Beau Visage, who gained his only all-weather victory on this track, competed at a much higher level after completing a double on Turf in August. Fast Landing has steadily improved and landed a Wolverhampton maiden in good style. He makes his handicap debut and could be well treated but Imperial State didn't really shine on his only start on this surface. Florencio has never won here and has had plenty of chances but CHAPLIN BAY showed his liking for the surface with a convincing victory here in March and, though 5lb higher and much better handicapped on Turf, he's taken to complete a double. Portledge gained his only victory to date over the track and trip in October though he's 5lb higher in a better-class contest.
