slowly away soon, recovered, tracked leaders, ridden to chase winner inside final furlong, lost 2nd towards finish
tracked leader, led over 1f out, pushed out, readily
dwelt in touch, pushed along over 1f out, stayed on to go 2nd towards finish
in touch in rear, pushed along and ran green halfway, weakened final furlong
broke smartly, led, ridden and headed over 1f out, kept on same pace
Hard Forest has attempted to make all in both starts so far and went close at Newcastle on her debut. But she looks vulnerable if forcing the pace once again and ARTAIR may well improve past her. The latter’s challenge petered out in the closing stages when third in testing ground at Windsor and today’s faster surface should suit Michael Bell’s colt. Adam Tiler is a half-brother to a winning two-year-old in the US and Bob Cowell’s charge is preferred to the newcomers ahead of Usain Boat.
