    In depth

    Verdict

Snaffled scored at Wolverhampton in January and showed his liking for Tapeta when conceding 7lb and beating Gorse a neck over this track and trip the following month. He's only 2lb higher and his young rider can again use his claim but GOWANBUSTER won a novices' race in good style over track and trip in November and will have found 5f too short on his reappearance here in March. He makes his handicap debut and looks certain to go well so gets the nod as Gangland was never travelling on his return to action at Bath. Charles Fox made his handicap bow at Kempton and was always in the firing-line before scoring over 7f. Dropping back in trip won't be a problem and a 4lb rise is unlikely to prevent another big run.
