Seventh Cavalry could be hard to keep out of the frame but he doesn't appeal as a win only option and preference is for ROSCO FLYER ahead of Jenny Potts and Shooting Party. Seventh Cavalry can usually be relied upon to run his race and Richard Hughes is probably the ideal pilot for Alan King's gelding who has made the frame twelve times in eighteen starts but is still a maiden. Shooting Party's form tailed off last year but it's interesting that he remains in training for this yard, he doesn't have many miles on the clock and it would be no surprise to see him go well over a trip that should suit. Jenny Potts scored on her handicap bow for Lenny Lungo and has since been in good form over timber for her new connections. She's 8lbs higher but may well be progressive and rates highly in calculations. However, we're going to take a chance with Rosco Flyer who shaped well on debut for this yard over a mile at Brighton where he got into his stride too late to lay down a challenge to the principals. He's a half-brother to The Fifth Member who improved with age and it's to be hoped that Rosco Flyer can follow suit.
