In an interesting handicap, we like the look of Forgery, with his main dangers possibly proving to be Saadigg, Takhmin and I'm So Lucky. Forgery showed improvement when racing on Turf last time, when just denied by subsequent winner Quizzene. The form is solid, and this lightly-raced son of Dr Devious could possibly improve again for the step up to 12 furlongs and looks set to run a good race. Haatmey looks held on Sandown form with the selection, while Takhmin's Catterick run last time has been boosted by the winner running third in the Lingfield Derby Trial. However, working on literal form through Quizzene, Saadigg has the edge over the selection based on his Pontefract win. However, much as he should go well, we are prepared to stay loyal to Forgery. The consistent Kharish should improve for a step up in trip this season, although others might be sharper today, Le Corvee should also be open to improvement (and see how the Prince Samos form works out at York on Friday), and I'm So Lucky ran well on his seasonal return last time, his first since a gelding operation, and he too is afforded plenty of respect. Finally, Solent has something to prove following his also-ran 2,000 Guineas run and, once again, for the winner, we return to Forgery.
