Steve Gollins is keeping Romany Prince busy, but he appears to have found a good opportunity for the six-year-old to expand upon his profile in this sphere. Adjami, Fencote and Joe Malone are expected to give the selection the most to do. The last named is open to plenty of improvement and is in the right hands to be found a race somewhere along the line. He shaped up well on his hurdling debut and is one for the future. Fencote was in the process of delivering his challenge when he stumbled on landing last time and it is early to be writing him off. He will be wiser for that experience and can go close if he stays on his feet this time. Adjami is progressing along the right lines to pick up a small prize in this sort of company. He ran his best race so far when finishing second at Worcester six days ago and represents the main threat to our hope today. However, Romany Prince has fared well in much stiffer tests since he switched codes last year. Rated 108 at his best on the Flat, Romany Prince is now an old stager in comparison to a few of these and it will be a little surprising if his class alone does not see him through today.
