Verdict
Secret Night can make a winning debut at the expense of Myths And Verses, with Countrywide Belle the other to note. Mick Channon has his team in fine form at present, especially his youngsters, and it would be no surprise if Secret Night were to prove good enough at the first time of asking. The daughter of Dansili has a host of entries in some big juvenile events later in the season and so is obviously held in high regard. Her recent gallops have been encouraging, and she will be expected to go close today. Myths And Verses shaped well when second on her Musselburgh debut and is a half-sister to Queen Mary winner Romantic Liason. She needs to step up a gear though, as does Countrywide Belle who has had three runs already, the latest of which was a very close second to the in-form Crocodile Bay at Doncaster. She was a bit unlucky in running that day and should go well, but the concession of two-pounds to the selection will not be easy. We take a chance that Secret Night will prove up to the task first time.
